Virginia Master Barber License Requirements In Virginia, the Master Barber license is regulated by the Virginia Board for Barbers and Cosmetology under the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation. As of the updated curriculum requirements effective December 1, 2025, the Master Barber program was reduced from 400 hours to 250 hours.
